While Nintendo fans certainly have a lot to enjoy with the launch of Pokemon Black and White and the imminent arrival of the Nintendo 3DS, Wii owners are seeing another story. Sales are down. Game releases are at an all time low. With only The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword on the horizon, and almost nothing else announced for North America, what’s next?

Those topics were at the front of my mind when I sat down with Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime. Despite the fact that the Nintendo 3DS was just around the corner, questions about the company’s home console were numerous. Why are Wii sales down? Where’s the software? When will we hear about it? And what’s going on with Zelda’s 25th anniversary?
